Norwegain Forest Cats and Kitten in Bel Air, Maryland USA

CRYSTALFJORD Kiaya of KRAZIECATS (I'm a Wegie) OK, Who are we? I could tell you that we are a small breeder of Norwegian Forest Cats. Technically, that would be the truth. I mean, we have registered a cattery name (KrazieCats) with both The Cat Fanciers' Association ( CFA) and The International Cat Association ( TICA). Additionally, we try to attend and enter at least one event a month sponsored by one of these two organizations.

But thats not really who we are. No, we are just cat lovers. Both my wife and myself have had cats most of our lives. Cats are fantastic pets! Until we purchased a Norwegian Forest Cat, all our cats had been your average Tom, Alley, House Cats. In fact, we still have two of these felines.

CRYSTALFJORD Rufus of KRAZIECATS (I'm a Wegie) with a 'tude Now we are breeding Norwegian Forest Cats or Wegies as we love to call them. Actually we only have two Wegies. My wife expressed interest in another cat. After years of the kids picking our pets (Iguana's and snakes) and my wife and me caring for them (mostly her). I told her I really didn't need anymore pets. But she really wanted another cat. So, I said OK, so long as this time we get what I like (All our pets were either picked by my wife or the kids).

Now my thinking at this point was still we didn't need any more pets. So I told my wife about these gorgeous cats I've loved for years. I first heard of the Norwegian Forest Cat back in the late 1980's, which is ironically about they time they were introduced here in America (They have been around literially forever in Scandinavia). My thought was that once I told her what the cat was going to cost she decide we didn't need another cat that bad.

BAD IDEA!!! Totally backfire. Maybe she knew. Maybe she just secretly wanted one too. Maybe she just actually wanted another cat. I don't know. But she said, and I quote "OK".

KRAZIECATS Raven :-) (I'm the House Cat) Well long story short. The breeder we chose eventually had three litters for us to choose from. Picking from 17 kittens was unbelievable. We couldn't chose just one. They were all so adorable.

And that's how we got where we are today. Now the truth of the matter is. I have always loved the look of a Wegie since I first saw them. Visiting and watching the kittens grow was extremely cool (we visited every two weeks). This eventually, is what did us in. The light bulbs flashed and the idea was born that we should concider breeding. We talked to our breeder about our thoughts and they helped us down the right path. Please make sure you check out their website too ( Crystalfjord).

KRAZIECATS Autumn :-) (I'm NO Wegie) We will never (cross your fingers) be a big time breeder. We only plan to have a litter here and there. If your looking for Wegies that truly come from a small home evironment that get lots of love and attention, then check us out. Maybe well have your next kitten here, if not maybe one of our friends can help you.
